Details:

Belle began his fifth migration on 15 September and arrived in southern Brazil 33 days later, on the 17 October.

After his normal stay-at-home winter he headed north on 3 March, his earliest departure yet. He got home to the Cape and Islands 27 days later on 29 March. This was the first time he arrived before April.

Some time during April, ace Osprey photographer Craig Gibson got this shot of a bird with a transmitter in Falmouth, Mass, where Belle spends a lot of time each summer. While it's not visible in this shot, but transmitter antenna is clearly visible in another shot--one that's not as good of the bird, so I didn't include it.
